How would you improve roads and the transport system in the Kingswood area?
-
Would you spend more money on maintaining our roads?
-
Or do you think we should be encouraging more people to get out of their car and take up cycling, using off-road paths like the Bristol to Bath one?
Because of the high national debt, public funding for transport projects is going to be slashed over the next few years so people are being asked what their priorities are.
Would you improve access to buses and trains, encourage more people to take up cycling, or spend more on our roads?
South Gloucestershire Council, along with three other local authorities in the West of England region, is putting together a plan for transport over the next 15 years and is holding four consultation events, including one in Kingswood, to give local residents the chance to have their say.
The consultation event for this area is at Kings Chase Shopping Centre on Tuesday, September 14 from 11am to 3pm.
You can complete a questionnaire or pick up a paper copy at your local council office or library.
All completed questionnaires will be entered into a free prize draw to win a day out at one of the region’s best local attractions, including the Avon Valley Railway at Bitton, the SS Great Britain in Bristol and the Helicopter Museum in Weston-Super-Mare.
The consultation deadline is Monday, October 4.
