Small chain stationers with a good range of books and DVDs as well. Where, oh where did they hide their games section, though? It was there once!
Some of the books are very oddly filed (PG Wodehouse in the chick lit and teen sections, for example) which suggests staff don't quite know their stock, but staff are friendly and helpful. As they are a chain, there are usually a good range of special offers at any one time.

Small but perfectly formed
I love this tiny branch of WH Smith in King's Chase Shopping Centre - it's got a friendly, small bookshop feel. There is a wide variety of books and there are always good offers. There's also a first-class selection of cards and stationery.
