Warmley Community Centre News

Warmley Community Centre is working hard to refurbish its premises.  The most recent project has been the renovation of the main hall floor which is now in good condition for our hirers. Decoration of the hall also  is now in progress thanks to a willing group of volunteers.  Not only do we provide function rooms for community events and meetings  but we are also  a popular venue for weddings and parties.

Warmley Players put on yet another successful pantomime in January. "Aladdin" was wonderfully portrayed by a talented cast of local actors and they played to a continuous full house throughout the week.

Anyone interested in cameras and photography will be interested to know that our Camera Fayre is now becoming a regular event.  The January Camera Fayre was well attended with many stalls.  A good selection of refreshments were also on hand.  Anyone interested in this event please call 01179674282 and you will be put in touch with the organiser of the event.

Our WRVS group is looking for volunteers to help out at their lunch club on Mondays.  The group provides an important service to senior citizens who want to come out for a few hours to socialise and enjoy the wonderful food, refreshments and entertainment the WRVS work so hard to organise.  For more information please call 0117 9674282 and we will put you in contact with the organiser.

Warmley  Social Club is still as lively as ever with Wednesday Jazz Club, Skittles, Darts, Cribbage, pool,  weekend good quality  live entertainment.  The new membership year for the Centre and Social Club  starts on April 1st 2011.  We welcome new members so please either call in to the Centre or tel 01179674282 for more details.
