Support Our Boys!

I managed to get along to the march in Kingswood for Armed Forces Day on Saturday and it was really good to see so many people there supporting our servicemen and women.

All too often any occasion for the Armed Forces is reduced to an opportunity for people to start banging on about Iraq. To listen to them chatting about it on the radio sometimes you'd think that the Armed Forces have done nothing other than go into Iraq since the Second World War!

It was nice for their efforts to be recognised on Saturday.

Lost a friend in Afghanistan this year; whether or not people agree with the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan there are many putting their lives on the line daily who deserve our support. We don't need to wiat for special events to show our support either.

I totally agree. I love getting the chance to support those who put their lives on the line for their country, whatever you think about the wars they're ordered into.
