Resound Community Choir - First Rehearsal a Success!

Resound Community Choir had its first rehearsal this week at Barley Close Primary School.  The idea of the choir was to get people together to sing and have fun!  We are going to sing a whole variety of pieces including gospel, swing, jazz but also tackling some more meaty classical pieces too!  36 people came along to the first rehearsal where we learnt "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" and a gospel song called "I Will Sing Joy".  The choir are already making a fantastic sound and with 36 people already signed up I am sure that it is going to be a great success!  If you would like to come along to the choir too then the rehearsals are from 7.45-8.45 on a Wednesday evening at Barley Close Primary School - the more the merrier and everyone is welcome.  You don't have to have had any previous experience of singing in choirs or be able to read music and there is no age limit!  If you want to find out more visit www.webjam.com/resound or if you prefer then you can follow the choir's tweets at http://twitter.com/singresound.
