Police hunt gang after assault on girl in Staple Hill

Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a teenage girl was assaulted by a gang of youths in Staple Hill.

The girl was walking along a lane that runs between Soundwell Road and Seymour Road on Sunday at about 5pm when a large group of youths came up and assaulted her before taking the chocolates she had bought her mother.

Police want to speak to anyone who saw what happened, or who may have seen a large group of boys and girls in the area at the time.
