Last season's Premier Division champions Mendip United bowed out of the Bristol Premier Combination Cup after crashing to a shock 1-0 quarter-final defeat at Patchway Reserves.
Both teams created and missed a number of chances before the result was settled by a penalty in the 86th minute.
Patchway striker Paul Francis was brought down just inside the area and Callum Bagley slotted the ball home to seal the Division I team's place in the semi-finals.
"It was a brilliant game and Mendip have a very good side but our defence played well," said Patchway's delighted manager Andy England.
AEK Boco also reached the last four, coming from behind to win 5-3 at Totterdown after extra-time.
Matt Sweet gave Totterdown an early advantage, AEK hit back to lead 2-1 through Shane Danaher and Karim Rendall, only for Pat Fox to make it 2-2 at the break with a penalty.
A fine save by Totterdown goalkeeper Ashley Martin from the dangerous Danaher kept AEK at bay but he had no chance of stopping a low drive from Rendall, which put the visitors 3-2 up. Substitute Aaron Thorne equalised again for Totterdown, who ran out of steam in extra-time as Mikey Golding added the fourth and Rendall completed his hat-trick.
Hallen Reserves and Seymour United , who both won the previous week, complete the semi-final line-up. The draw will be made at the league meeting next Monday, with the final scheduled for Wednesday, May 12.
Longwell Green Reserves stretched their lead to 19 points at the top of the Premier Division with a 4-0 romp at Roman Glass St George Reserves.
Matt Jackson fired the leaders in front before the break and completed his double in the second half. The other goals came from Simon Warren and Mike Hardiman, with a volley from the halfway line.
Second-placed Talbot Knowle were held to a 2-2 draw at Wick after taking an early lead through ace marksman Mark Leigh.
The hosts bounced back to lead 2-1 with an own goal by Chas Jest and Ben Burrell's close-range effort but a late equaliser from Frank Gingell saved Talbot, who also missed a good chance to win the game.
Hallen Reserves lost ground following a 2-1 defeat by Nicholas Wanderers, who avenged last week's setback against the same team in the Combination Cup quarter-finals.
Scott Oakley followed up to force home a rebound for the opener after his first shot hit the post, and Jon Scrase added the second from Steve Goodyear's cross before Malik Sarri netted an 85th-minute consolation for Hallen.
Bitton Reserves manager Steve Burton had to call up eight young players from the A side after losing five of his regular squad to the first team, who play in the Toolstation Western League.
The makeshift line-up put up a spirited performance before going down 2-1 at home to St Philips MAS. James Shipland shot Saints ahead from the penalty spot and Paris Allen added the second before Matt Galley hit back for the home team.
An improved display ended a run of disappointing results for South Bristol Central, whose manager Paul Keen completed his first full game of the season in a 1-1 draw with Winterbourne Reserves at the BAWA ground.
Shaun Kellett gave SBC a half-time lead from close range but Dave Herbert earned Winterbourne a point.
Seymour came from behind to beat Olveston 3-1 and are now 13 points clear at the had of Division I following unexpected defeats for their two nearest challengers.
Mike Usher put Olveston ahead early in the second half, but Shaun Thompson equalised before Shaun Humphreys and Lee Doyle, with a late penalty, sealed the points.
Second-placed Oldland Abbotonians Reserves suffered an unexpected 1-0 reverse at Greyfriars Athletic, who climbed off the bottom of the table, above Henbury Reserves and Brimsham Green.
The only goal came from a penalty awarded for handball, netted in the 70th minute by the Friars' evergreen player-manager Dave Coggins, who was not surprised at the result.
"We had a couple of players back from injury and have been playing much better lately," he said.
Lawrence Rovers also lost ground after crashing 3-2 at home to Shaftesbury by Crusade, who bounced back with goals from Nicky Martin (2) and Nicky Gregory. Daniel Harris struck twice for Rovers.
An 88th-minute volley by Steve Bywaters denied luckless Brimsham Green victory in a 2-2 draw at Frampton.
Frampton went in front with a penalty from Chris Harris, Lee Collett headed the equaliser for Brimsham, whose other score came with an own goal by Jake Beacham before Bywaters struck.
