Championing the rights of disabled people is high on the agenda of Kingswood's new MP
Chris Skidmore, whose victory at the General Election saw Roger Berry lose the seat he had held for Labour for 18 years, has become a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Disability (APPDG) .
The group was formerly co-chaired by Dr Berry.
Mr Skidmore said: "Roger Berry did a great job raising the profile and championing the rights of disabled people, and I want to continue where he left off.
"I’m looking forward to working as hard as I possibly can to make a positive contribution to Parliament in this important issue, and fighting for disabled rights.”
