St Mary's Players will perform Curtains at the Redgrave Theatre in April
Their production of the musical comedy whodunit Curtains has a run at the Redgrave in Percival Road, Clifton after Easter.
The Fishponds-based St Mary's Players are staging the show, which is from the creators of Cabaret and Chicago.
Curtains is set backstage at the Old Colonial Theatre in Boston in 1959 and follows the repercussions when the supremely untalented star of Robbin Hood of the Old West is murdered during her opening night curtain call.
Can a police detective who just happens to also be an amateur thespian solve the case, save the show and maybe even find love before the show reopens without getting killed himself?
Music and lyrics are by Kander & Webb. There are performances from Tuesday, April 6 to Saturday, April 10 at 7.30pm and a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets are £10 for the opening night and then £12 for the other nights, and £8 on the Saturday afternoon.
To book call the box office on 0117 965 2303.
This is the 50th anniversary of the Fishponds-based Players' first production. For more information about St Mary's visit the website www.stmarysplayers.co.uk
