AFC Hayes 0 Mangotsfield United 5: Mangotsfield United achieved their highest score of the season as they outplayed a struggling Hayes side and striker Michael Meaker bagged a hat-trick.
Before the start, United midfielder Josh Brigham, who has played five games with a protective binding around the plaster cast on his wrist, was refused permission to play by the referee, so manager Phil Bater had to use Matt Tilley.
Central defender Scott Hendy gave Mangotsfield a 20th-minute lead with a back header from a free-kick but the game erupted in the 35th minute when Hayes' Mark Burgess was red-carded for clashing with Mitchell Page and Harley Purnell. Mangotsfield went down to 10 men in the same incident, when midfielder Danny Spill received a second booking.
Meaker made it 2-0 in the 42nd minute –and, two minutes into the second half, he struck again after beating the offside trap and slotting the ball past goalkeeper Simon Grant.
Page and Meaker combined to release striker Tom Knighton to make it 4-0 in the 57th minute and, three minutes later, Meaker completed his hat-trick.
