Did you see UFO over Downend this week?

A UFO has been spotted over Downend.

Holly Newbury has posted the sighting on a UFO website - and wants to know if anyone else saw it.

She says she saw a mysterious shape in the sky at about 5.30pm on Tuesday, August 16.

Her statement says: "I was pegging out washing when I noticed, very high up in a westerly direction, a long dark, straight shape which I first thought might be a bird of prey.

"After a few minutes it did not appear to swoop or move very much. As it moved slowly east, it appeared more cigar shaped . The sky was clear and sunny, the object was straight on both sides, there were no wings or rotors, no noise and no vapour trail either.

"It moved very slowly in a zig-zag motion, then it either climbed out of sight or simply disappeared.

"Did anyone else view this event?"
