Comedy Nights in Bar Celona: Tuesday 1st June local actor James Redmond is headlining!!!!

For nearly two months now Kingswood has been treated to weekly nights of comedy on Wednesdays in the Bar Celona pub on the main High street. It regularly features between 4-6 comic acts....some brand new and some established comedians, and all for £5!!!!

Recently they had the winner of the best new act from the Bath comedy festival and just last week we were treated to a fantastic 45minute set from the Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre.

It really is a terrific night out, and it could really do with more support from the Kingswood people, as it would be a shame to lose live comedy on our own front doorstep......you can follow all the news about upcoming acts and special offers via the official facebook page here

Starting June 1st comedy will be on Tuesday evenings and it has been confirmed that the headline act for the first Tuesday night show will be none other than ex-Hollyoaks and casualty star James Redmond!!!! (see a clip of him in action here!!) I have had the pleasure of working with him before and I can guarantee that his dry sense of humour and local knowledge will appeal to the Kingswood crowd so I recommend getting there early to avoid disappointment!!!

As mentioned tickets are only £5 and the show starts at 8pm promptly and ends at around 10:45pm, so come and join us and support live comedy in Kingswood.

Just to add to your excellent piece Brett, for £12.00 you can have a two course meal and entrance to the comedy night next door.

One thing to add, just a thought, I see the comedy night is moving to a Tuesday from 1st June. If this night was say a Thursday or Friday they may get more in, but I suppose people will be out clubbing and so won't hang about for the comedians.
