Angling round-up: Eleven members competed for the St Anne's Board Mills' Challenge Cup, in the last match of the season at St Anne's Park.

Peg four came up with a small weight win for Bob Dark, who fished double red maggot at two thirds of the way across a crystal-clear River Avon. He converted three bites into three bream, totalling 8-4-0.

The runner-up was Andy Wilson, who fished worm and maggot along the same line for three bream and bits, which weighed 6-4-0. The only other angler who bothered to weigh in was Pete Powe with 2oz of bits, taken with float fished maggot at peg 22.

The weight of just one, decent-sized Westerleigh Lake carp separated the top three places in the Kingswood Disabled & Over 55s midweek match.

The winner was Brian Cleevely, who used maggot, sweetcorn and pellet to tempt 20-1-0 of F1s from the island margins of peg 23.

Second-placed Ted Bethel fished the same method at peg 21 for a similar 19-12-0, while Bob Dark fished pellet at 29 for 17-13-0.
