Car Stolen from Kingswood High Street with little dog in tow

Yesterday afternoon a black Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from Moravian Road, just off of Kingswood High street. The victim, local business man, Nicholas Blake, had parked his car for only five minutes whilst he attended to his finances inside a bank on the high street.
After returning to where he had parked his car he found that it was no longer there. To his dismay he then realised that he had left Scotty; his 2 year old Westie inside of the vehicle.
He immediately called the police in a desperate attempt to save the dog, with his greatest fear being returning home without the family pet.
Fortunately, after an hour of searching an unknown woman had returned the dog to the local vets, where they scanned his 'chip' and returned him home safely.
Apparently, Scotty was found being dodged by cars on a busy high street not to far from Kingswood. Scotty is said to be fit and well, but suffering from a little shock.
With regards to the car, it is still to be found and the thieves are still to be caught. If you do have any information you can leave me a message and I'll be sure to pass it on.
