Car Parking

I am really fed up not being able to park my car near to my home due to the amount of cars that are own by other people in the street, also people just lower their kerbs without planning permission and the Council not doing anything about and yes you do need planning permission if you live on a main road.
If you park further up the road the people in those house starting having a go because you are parked near their home. seems to me it is a catch 22 situation.
Parking in your garage is not safe any more and they are being constantly being broken into.
It is about time the Council let you decide if you wanted to lower your kerbs and taking the Cars off the main road and letting the traffic flow more efficiently.

I think you’d fall in the Staple Hill and Rodway patch – typical! It was the one I put on the website yesterday morning to say it was taking place last night. They discussed anti-social behaviour on Broad Street and at the shops in Mangotsfield every night. The next meeting is not until April 20 (at Page Community Centre) but the neighbourhood beat manager is PC Simon Broad. You can get in touch with him at any time on 0845 456 7000. Or give South Glos Council a ring. Hope that's helpful.

ReportBecky,I'll second that. It's a good example of what the Safer and Stronger meetings are for.

ReportDo you live in Kingswood? It sounds like something you could raise at one of the Safer Stronger Community meetings - it's a chance for residents to talk to the police and council about things that are bugging them. Let me know where you live and I can tell you when the next meeting for your area is.
