Police patrols in Kingswood led to the arrest of two men for drug offences in the early hours of today.
South Gloucestershire officers were joined by Road Policing Unit officers patrolling the area in both marked and unmarked vehicles.
An Avon & Somerset police spokesman said: "Officers saw what they believed to be a drug deal and followed a suspect to an address on the border of Kingswood and Hillfields where they arrested two men.
"Officers recovered a large amount of substances believed to be heroin and amphetamine, as well as 200 wraps of suspected cocaine, cash and suspected stolen property."
Police say they are determined to crack down on drug dealing and associated crime and have stepped up patrols in the Kingswood area in response to a recent increase in burglaries of sheds and garages - many thieves steal to pay for their drug use.
