On Thursday 14th October the Kingswood Foundation gave out 82 free breakfasts to students, Foundation staff and tenants because they cycled to the Kingswood Estate.  The day was part of the Kingswood Foundation’s Greener Transport Policy and is one of a series of events to get people thinking about their transport choices.  The next event will be on the 17th November.

As part of the cycling breakfast initiative the Cycling City team were there offering free advice and information on cycle routes, safety and other local initiatives.  The now famous Dr Bike was on hand to examine the bikes, do any minor repairs and recommend any maintenance needed and Lifecycle a group selling low cost, fully refurbished bikes ended up selling 12 bikes on the day.

The Cycling Breakfast initiative was made possible thanks to the generosity of Bristol City Council, South Gloucestershire County Council and the Cycling City team.  If you would like more information about how to get involved in the next day scheduled for the 17th November call 0117 947 7948.
