Who was the good Samaritan who chased robbers in Kingswood?

Police are today appealing for the good Samaritan who gave chase to the teenage gang who assaulted a man in Kingswood and then stole his phone to come forward.

The robbery occurred on Thursday, January 9 between 6.30pm and 7pm in Southey Avenue.

A spokesman for Avon & Somerset Police said: "The victim, having walked down the steps leading from Southey Park to the front of a care home, was approached and assaulted by a group of teenagers.

"During this assault his mobile phone was taken. While on Southey Avenue a member of the public driving a blue Ford Focus stopped his vehicle and chased the offenders.

"Police would very keen to speak to this man as he may have valuable information to help with the investigation."
