After having our garage broken into twice in December and attempted one at the beginning of January, one of the break-ins during the day, our car is now the target, some very nice idiot has keyed all along the passenger side.  Someone has really got in for us.  Why what have we done?  All this is in the Station Road Area of Kingswood.

That's awful. Have you gone to the police? It could be that you are not the only one. They might be able to step up patrols.

Yes the police are very much aware, and have upped the patrols, my bike was recovered but not my husband's electrical equipment. we are also getting bulletins from the police every couple of weeks, giving updates on the problems.

What those thieving XXXXXXX know is, when a house/garage is burgled the owner contacts the insurance company who will pay out the amount of the stolen items.  The housholder wil then buy the things they lost.  So every couple of weeks the same XXXXX will come back to see if anything new is there.  I feel for your loss and I hope you get your things back soon.

Last year someone tried to break into our garage, little did they know it had four inside bolts so they got nothing but we got a bill for £78 to replace the broken lock on the garage door.

I could string them up as they dont realise nor care that we always end up out of pocket.

i live right by staple hill police station and had our van broken into 4 times, and on each occasion the police wouldnt come and dust the vehicle as they said in court the defendant would just say, yes i touched the vehicle, so what?(!) you have to have actual dna (blood) for it to even be worth the effort of trying the case in court.... is that the go-ahead for dealing with criminals ourselves??;) (ie, making sure we get blood if you know what i mean??)
