Hi King1and, yeah it'll be very nice when it's completed. My mate was the site manager and he showed me around when the project started and they were documenting all of the heritage to protect and restore at the same time and developing. New with old should look really good! I shared a few ideas which were implemented as well lol. The old board room was solid wood and it had to go, it's a shame that they couldn't find a good home for it.. unless they did in the end. I went to the meeting on Thursday for plans to redevelop Blackberry Hill Hospital in to a housing community. This sounds good as well, I'll add details soon when I have a spare half hour. The company Homes & Communities have a done a good job with Hanham Hall so they'll surely do a good job with Blackberry Hill as well.
Thank you Richard and King1. I see the link to which Richard draws attention says "The strategic health authority ... announced in March 2008 that £19 million has been set aside for the redevelopment of Cossham Hospital. Plans were given the final go ahead in March 2010 and builders started work on site on 1 June 2010".
Ten minutes ago I received an election leaflet from local Conservative election candidates which says "...... Cossham would have been sold off by the last Labour Government". It is a pity that they seek election making statements which clearly do not correspond with the truth.
