Neighbourhood teams have been visiting schools in the Kingswood and Staple Hill areas – not to check the roll call but to register pupil's mobile phones and other devices on the national property database, http://tinyurl.com/bvheael

Young people were given other crime prevention and personal safety advice in the sessions.

Registering items for free on http://tinyurl.com/34ytex5 means police can confirm property recovered from a suspected thief is stolen and return it to the rightful owner. It also deters criminals because it helps police prove a crime has been committed.
