The Chequers, Lodge Road.

Good to see that the Chequers has reopenend in Kingswood. The Christmas decorations are up and as I passed the car park was starting to fill up..

Went in Saturday night.....no live music on and about 7 people in there. I'm guessing things will pick up, but why the re-opening was kept such a secret is beyond me! What about a Santa in the day for the kids and a re-opening party on the night? Instead I found out (despite living on the same street) by driving past and seeing smokers outside!

Hopefully people will read about it reopening and they'll have a busy Christmas. Nice to know it's reopened - there are still too many pubs in and around Kingswood that are standing empty, possibly lost forever.

wow didn't though they reopened either and i live 5 mins away. Didn't see anything in the post about it. i think Weatherspoons are taking a lot of business Becky, cheap Ale prices and cheap food. Just a shame other pubs can do the same.
