Your First Balloon Fiesta?

When was the first time you went to the bristol balloon festival and what can you remember?

The first time I went to the fiesta was in 1987 when I was 6, we went there on the afternoon on the saturday and we got there in time to watch them tethering the balloons for a bit then we went and got some food and then walked around until the balloons started setting up for the evening flight, so we found a nice place to sit and watched the balloonists set up and take off, after that we went home where I looked at the bristol balloon festival programme I got, you know the old programmes, the good ones lol
