A 17-year-old man has been arrested in connection with smashing of the windows of Emersons Green Library and three nearby businesses.

He was arrested this morning after patrolling officers spotted him behaving suspiciously near a car in Stanley Road, Warmley.

He remains in custody.

Update from police: "A 17-year-old man from Warmley is due before Northavon Magistrates today.

"He is charged with stealing two laptops in a burglary of a house in Emersons Green, theft of a Honda XLR 125 from Emersons Green, theft of a child's bike in a non-dwelling burglary in Downend and attempted theft from a vehicle in Warmley. All the offences happened earlier this month."
