Victory for the power of people

WITH the completion of the refurbishment of Cossham Hospital and its re-opening on January 28 an exciting new era is about to begin for this much loved hundred year old memorial hospital bequeathed to the people of Kingswood by Handel Cossham.
Sincere thanks to the Save Cossham Hospital group led by Graham Kennedy, the Cossham Hospital League of Friends chaired by Roy Tippett and all the main participants who worked tirelessly to save the hospital. This is a resounding victory for people power and individuals who raised their heads above the parapet and protested vigorously against the proposal to close the hospital.
We must hold on to the right to protest against actions that we perceive to be against the interest of the community.
This protest has proved to be such a worthy cause.
The people of Kingswood should be proud that they came together in true community spirit and achieved a result that will benefit many people for years to come.
Good luck to all who are now about to work in or be treated in Cossham Hospital.
