Neighbourhood Sergeant Stephanie Green said: "We were there supporting our partner agencies (South Gloucestershire Council, Avon Fire & Rescue, the Health & Safety Executive and the Environment Agency) in this action in response to the concerns of local residents, businesses and councillors about the site.
"During the inspection the fire and rescue service came across a unit which was being used to grow what we believe to be cannabis plants. We seized around 60 plants, all around four feet tall, along with growing equipment and lights."
Concerns about the site had included possible failure to comply with fire safety, health and safety and environmental regulations.
Police investigations continue and anyone with any information to help enquiries should contact them on 101. Alternatively call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
