Kingswood made it 3 league wins

in a row this week with a professional home win against visiting Bream.

Despite being reduced to 14 men twice in the game, Kingswood's

solid defence meant that tries from Mark Oakley and James Willmott were enough

to secure a much needed win.

Kingswood took the lead on 14 minutes when Ashley

Honeywell sliced open the Bream defence before excellently offloading to Paul

Allen in support, Allen then released Mark Oakley who powered home to dive over

in the corner.

The next try didn't arrive until the 73rd minute but it was just as impressive

as the first. With Kingswood finding themselves in their 22, Dean Stephens

kicked towards touch after a solid Kingswood

scrum. Fortunately, Winger Chris Phillips chased hard, and when the ball

bounced towards the line, he secured the ball and sidestepped past his opposite

number to send Kingswood into an unexpected

attack. Phillips drew in the Full-Back before releasing James Willmott out

wide. Willmott had some work to do trying to outrun the covering No. 8 on the

boggy ground, but he had enough fuel in the tank to run under the posts before

finishing with a lovely swallow dive. Ben Phillips duly added the extras.

A cracking home performance was then rounded off with some excellent defending

at the final whistle to thwart a Bream attack and clear the lines to allow the

referee to blow the final whistle.

The win means Kingswood leave the bottom two,

but they have a tough weekend ahead, as they make the journey to high-flying

Brockworth.

Final Score: Kingswood 12-0 Bream
