Police investigate assault on Audi driver in Kingswood

People are being asked for information about what police are calling a "serious assault" in Kingswood.

The attack happened on Sunday, February 19 but Avon & Somerset police have only released details today.

A police spokesman said: "At around 4.30pm a man was driving along Soundwell Road in his Audi TT when he was forced to stop by another vehicle, believed to be an Audi A2, opposite the Harlequin garage.

"A man then got out of the car and assaulted the victim with a weapon. The victim was taken to hospital with facial injuries."

Detectives want to speak to anyone who was in Soundwell Road at the time and may have seen something to call South Gloucestershire CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
