Multi FM is back on the airwaves next week.
This is the fifth year that the radio station has been broadcast from the Kingswood-based youth centre.
The young volunteers have been hard at work preparing for the week-long broadcast with help, training and guidance from BCfm, Bristol's community radio station. Multi FM has also received sponsorship from South Gloucestershire community housing association Merlin.
The radio sessions are being produced by a host of young DJs from the community all aged between 14 and 20 years old. Individual shows will feature young people playing the music they like, promoting their own music, and will include interviews with local people, community groups and agencies.
Following each day of live broadcasting, the entire ten hours of entertainment will then be played back overnight, and will also be streamed live on the internet via the BCfm website (bcfm.org.uk).
Cllr Ian Blair, Chair of Children and Young People Committee, praised the efforts of the youngsters.
He said: "Multi FM is a fantastic project, it has been very well received in previous years and everyone involved has been working hard to make it a success again. It has enabled a group of young people to come together and create something they can be proud of, as well as learning new skills."
