She first started playing Netball for Roman Glass but now also plays for Team Bath. Summer was talent spotted playing for Team Bath and won her place in the England squad by taking part in trials in Sheffield.
Summer, who plays goal keeper, has more England training later in January and if selected could go on to play in the European Championships in Malta later in the year.
She said, "I feel blessed to be given the opportunity, it proves that if you work hard for something and are determined to get it, it will soon be within your reach."
Ian Frost, Principal of King's Oak Academy said, "We are extremely proud of Summer's achievements to date and wish her great success with the England team both now and in the future. We always encourage our students to engage and participate wherever possible with activities and events outside of the academy and Summer has shown what can be achieved if you put hard work and dedication into a hobby."
