The classic date combination of dinner and a movie has been made easy this Valentine's day meaning couples only need to find one venue for their romantic evening out.

Horts, one of Bristol's favourite pubs, has organised a special Valentine's package for love birds looking for the classic date night.

The package, which is available from 13th to 15th February, includes a four-course dinner in the dining room followed by free entry into the brand-new 26-seat cinema, located at the back of the pub.

Horts manager Richard Fairchild says the cosy atmosphere of the cinema is perfect for a romantic date.

He said: "Our new cinema is great for occasions like this. Couples can enjoy a delicious dinner in our refurbished dining room and then move into the Director's Cut where we have planned a series of romantic films to set the mood.

"Couples can join us on Thursday night, Friday night or Saturday night to take advantage of the dinner and a movie offer and also check out our newly refurbished venue.

"The Valentine's menu has been specially put together by our chef team and features dishes including Lamb Shoulder and Sirloin Steak as well as a Mandarin Sorbet palate cleanser."

Starter choices include scallops and a warm chicken and chorizo salad while main dishes are rounded off with a Hake option and a creamy mushroom risotto. Dessert lovers can choose from a cheesecake, crème brullee or Chocolate Mousse.

Showing at The Director's Cut over the weekend will be The Five Year Engagement on Thursday 13 February, Notting Hill on Friday 14 February and PS I Love You on Saturday 15 February.

The Director's Cut cinema has proved a great hit since opening just before Christmas. The individual leather armchairs complete with cosy cushions and blankets as well as the table service available give a cinema experience not to be missed.

Richard continued: "This really is a unique date idea and is sure to impress your Valentine. We hope couples join us for this special occasion."

The Valentine's Package costs £40 per couple and includes a four-course dinner plus entry into the Director's Cut cinema afterwards.
