Business Secretary and other ministers to attend national summit at Bristol & Bath Science Park at Emersons Green

Business Secretary Vince Cable and other Government ministers will attend a national summit at the Bristol & Bath Science Park at Emersons Green later this month, it was announced today.

The Bristol & Bath Science Park has been chosen as the venue for the Advanced Manufacturing Conference run by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) and taking place on February 23.

The event will bring together Government and key industry leaders to celebrate the best of British manufacturing and explore ways the sector can support growth for the UK economy.

Bonnie Dean, chief executive of the Bristol & Bath Science Park, said tonight: "We are delighted that BIS has chosen to hold its second Manufacturing Summit at the Science Park.

"On the Park and in the immediate vicinity are some of the most advanced and research-led manufacturing companies in the world.

"The conference is an excellent opportunity to exchange information and to explore new ideas."
