Two prolific burglars have been jailed for a total of six-and-a-half years for a series of crimes across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

Ricky Foster, aged 26, was handed a three year sentence at Bristol Crown Court on Friday (November 30) after police linked him through forensic evidence to two separate burglaries in Bristol in August and September.

The first took place on August 25, in St George, where Foster smashed a patio door and stole electrical goods and jewellery. The second burglary took place on September 7, in Montpelier, where Foster forced entry and stole computer equipment.

Foster, who asked for 15 further burglary and theft offences to be taken into consideration, was one of the faces featured on the police website in their most sought after people gallery.

Peter Hinder, aged 22, was given a three-year sentence at Bristol Crown Court on Friday (November 30) for a burglary on October 13, in Filton.

Hinder asked for a further 18 offences to be taken into consideration.
