BROAD Plain Under-12s, who donned their new kit sponsored Popular Insulations for the first time on Sunday, romped to a 49-7 victory over their Southmead counterparts at St John's Lane.

The home side were full of running, with Callum Leonard, Toby Jarrett, Joe Matthews, Francesco Andres, Curtis Edmonds, Tyler Young, Jordan Perkins and Ryley Murtagh all touching down for ties. Luke Thomas crossed for Southmead.

Tia Witcombe was outstanding for Kingswood Under-11s in their three-way tie with Spartans and Broad Plain. The young Knights were defeated 35-0 by the Gloucester side, but turned things around to beat Plain 27-7, thanks to tries by Jake Kendall (4) and Joe Maslen.

Dings Under-11s did the double over Whitehall following their 10-5 and 20-0 wins. Franklyn Godfree, Archie Stapleton and Jake Baker scored the all-important tries for Crusaders.

St Mary's Under-11s pulled off a hard-fought 14-5 win over Avonmouth at Northwood Park. Tries by Angus Gowling and Ethan Graham, plus conversions from Drew Lewis and Nick Fraser secured the spoils for the Winterbourne-based side.

Will Grubb, Henry King, Felix Marshall, Harvey White and George Stagg were among the scorers in Clifton Under-11s' emphatic win over Dursley. The Henbury-based side enjoyed the firm under-foot conditions, with Callum Pritchard and Ryan Cordukes in fine form. Meanwhile, Clifton Under-12s overpowered Dursley in their 40-0 win, with Charlie Gingell outstanding. Clifton Under-13s ran out 47-12 winners against Chew Valley. Centre Ralph Adams was the star of the show, scoring five-tries. Lock Danny Morgan and wing Matt Cherry also crossed the whitewash, with Gil Thornton on target with six out of seven conversion attempts.

Kingswood Knights under-9s picked up victories against Bristol Saracens (40-15 and 20-10), with Joseph Cook and Billy Marsden in fine form for the East Bristol club. Caleb Wakefield, Cameron Crook, Hayden Lamb, Katie Hodge, Mackenzie Hill, Marsden and Cook all touched down for tries.

Hayden Vince was voted man-of-the-match for the Knights' Under-7s following their 27-20 win over Cleve, while Jed Hill caught the eye for the Under-8s in their 17-11 reverse at Cleve.

Avonmouth Under-8s' George Peters put in a disciplined two-try performance to earn himself the star man accolade. The 'Mouth' roared to 45-30 and 45-20 wins over Old Reds, with tries from Callum Evans (7), Danny Durbin (3), Joe Westlake, Max Cartwright, Andrew Giltrow, Louis Brooker, Jamie King and Charlie O'Callaghan.

Southmead Under-8s, despite putting in a spirited performance, lost 30-25 against Whitehall and 30-15 to Dings.

Mitchell Payne, Leah Porter and Warren Giles were on the score sheet for Southmead.

Their Under-9s, meanwhile, drew 10-10 with Broad Plain, thanks to a Sam Williams double and a heroic defensive display by Tom Jones.
