Banks and property-related businesses were targeted in a smashing spree in Downend last night.
Boarded up: banks in Badminton Road in Downend today after last night's rampage
Some businesses remained boarded up today while others had emergency replacement glass installed
Estate agent Besley Hill was among the businesses targeted in last night's attack on Downend shopping centre
Among the shopfronts boarded up in Badminton Road today were Lloyds TSB, NatWest and HSBC. Next door the Yorkshire Building Society and BNS Management Services had replacement glass in the shopfront as did estate agents Besley Hill nearby.
On Twitter, Andrew Simmonds, MD of BNS Management Services, posted a picture of the damage and labelled the perpetrators "mindless bigots".
