Banks and property-related businesses were targeted in a smashing spree in Downend last night.

Among the shopfronts boarded up in Badminton Road today were Lloyds TSB, NatWest and HSBC. Next door the Yorkshire Building Society and BNS Management Services had replacement glass in the shopfront as did estate agents Besley Hill nearby.
On Twitter, Andrew Simmonds, MD of BNS Management Services, posted a picture of the damage and labelled the perpetrators "mindless bigots".

BNS Management Services, one of the businesses damaged, has handed over CCTV footage of the attack to the police. Anybody who saw the damage taking place, or knows who is responsible, is asked to call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
